Cream releases video of 2005 Royal Albert Hall reunion performance of ‘Stormy Monday’
Auditorium & Winterland Ballroom for Record Store Day on April 18. This release includes four tracks from the original Wheels of Fire album, along with eight additional live performances from their March 1968 concerts.
The video release of “Stormy Monday” comes after Cream previously shared a performance video of their renowned song “White Room.” These tracks, along with others, are featured on the reissued live album from 2005, where Cream reunited at London’s Royal Albert Hall for four consecutive nights after a 37-year break. These concerts marked a significant return for the band, as it was their first time performing together since their final shows at the same venue in November 1968. Another notable reunion occurred in 1993 when Cream came together for their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Fans of Cream can indulge in the live music experience through the reissued album, available in triple blue and green splatter vinyl, and a double blue and orange CD format. Additionally, enthusiasts can look forward to another live album release from the band. Cream will soon unveil a three-LP expanded edition of Cream – Wheels of Fire: Live at Fillmore Auditorium & Winterland Ballroom exclusively for Record Store Day on April 18. This compilation includes the original tracks from Wheels of Fire: Live at the Fillmore, as well as eight new live tracks from their March 1968 performances.
