The Zombies have recently unveiled the mono remaster of their first album, the 1965 classic “Begin Here.” To mark this event, the band has also revealed the specifics of their third Begin Here Festival, set to occur in their hometown of St. Albans, U.K.
The festival, which initially launched in November of 2023, will feature numerous events tied to The Zombies, such as record signing sessions, dance parties, fan meet-ups, and appearances by original group members. The highlight of this year’s festival will be a special candlelit acoustic performance by Zombies frontman Colin Blunstone within the historic St. Albans Cathedral.
Interested fans can take advantage of a presale starting on Wednesday, available to fan club members and those who purchase “Begin Here (Mono Edition)” from the band’s official website. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on April 24, as more details can be found on The Zombies’ website.
The mono remaster of “Begin Here” is part of a series of reissues, following the successful release of their defining second album, “Odessey and Oracle,” in 2025. This remastered edition includes all 17 tracks from both the U.K. and U.S. versions of the album, accompanied by new liner notes penned by renowned rock journalist David Fricke.
To coincide with the launch, The Zombies have also released “She’s Not There (Mono Edition)” on digital platforms, along with a new lyric video for fans to enjoy.
The band’s ongoing commitment to reissuing their classic catalog ensures that longtime fans and new listeners alike can appreciate their groundbreaking music in the best possible quality. With the Begin Here Festival as a tribute to their storied career, The Zombies continue to celebrate their rich musical legacy and connect with their devoted fan base in a meaningful way.
