Turnstile to be honored with own night at Baltimore Orioles game

Turnstile, the dynamic hardcore band with Grammy-winning talent, hails from Baltimore, Maryland, a fact that sets the stage for their unique blend of music appreciation and love for baseball. While Turnstile’s music is undoubtedly deserving of widespread recognition, the band’s passion for Orioles baseball is equally evident.

In 2023, Turnstile had the opportunity to throw the first pitch at a game, with guitarist Pat McCrory stepping up to the mound while the rest of the band looked on. Understandably, only one representative can fulfill this ceremonial duty, avoiding the potential awkwardness of multiple band members simultaneously throwing the opening pitch.

Fans attending a Baltimore Orioles game on July 10 can look forward to a special treat beyond the first pitch. In a time-honored tradition, whenever an Orioles player hits an extra-base hit, Turnstile will join in the festivities by spraying fans in specific sections with a hose. Additionally, fans purchasing a special ticket package, available on the Orioles official website, will receive a jersey featuring the team’s name on the front and the band’s name above the number 26 on the back. This event, dubbed a “Blackout” night in honor of Turnstile, promises an unforgettable experience for attendees.

For those unable to attend the Baltimore Orioles game in July, Turnstile’s presence can be enjoyed at various festivals throughout the spring and summer months. The band is scheduled to perform at the Welcome to Rockville festival in Daytona Beach, Florida, on May 8, the Kliby Black Party in Salt Lake City on May 15, Bonnaroo in Manchester, Tennessee, on June 12, and the Fuji Rock festival in Japan on July 24, among several other festival appearances. Turnstile’s impressive discography includes four albums, with their 2025 release, “Never Enough,” capturing the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album.

With Turnstile’s infectious energy and musical prowess, fans have multiple opportunities to experience the band’s electric performances both on stage and amidst the fervor of a Baltimore Orioles game. This unique fusion of music and baseball exemplifies Turnstile’s diverse appeal and showcases their undeniable talent across different platforms.
