New Album Title and Cover for Rolling Stones Confirmed by Puzzle

The Rolling Stones have seemingly revealed the title and cover art for their upcoming album through a series of posts on their individual Instagram accounts. Each band member – Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ron Wood – shared a piece of what appears to be an album cover that, when combined, merges their faces into one image. This mysterious puzzle seems to hint at the album title, “Foreign Tongues,” which was also spotted on outdoor advertisements featuring the band’s signature lips and tongue logo in multiple languages on April 25.

In addition to the visual clues, the Rolling Stones have been teasing fans with a snippet of a new song on social media. The vocals at the beginning of the clip sound similar to their 1969 hit “Gimme Shelter,” followed by a guitar riff reminiscent of “Rock and a Hard Place” from their 1989 album Steel Wheels. “Foreign Tongues” will mark the band’s first studio album since 2023’s “Hackney Diamonds” and the second release since the passing of drummer Charlie Watts in 2021.

The production of the new album was helmed by Andrew Watt, known for his work with artists like Ozzy Osbourne, Elton John, and Paul McCartney. During the promotion of “Hackney Diamonds” in 2023, Mick Jagger hinted at the progress of their next project, stating they were almost three-quarters of the way through recording. Keith Richards emphasized the importance of creating new music with their current drummer, Steve Jordan, after Watts’ departure, dismissing any rumors of the band’s retirement.

According to reports, the Rolling Stones already have a solid foundation of about 10 songs for a future album after “Foreign Tongues.” Building anticipation for the release, the band initiated a unique campaign in early April under the name “the Cockroaches,” which they have used before for surprise performances. Limited copies of a single titled “Rough and Twisted” under this moniker were distributed globally, only to be confirmed as their own work a few days later through their official social media channels.

Despite prior plans for a 2026 tour, an inside source revealed in December that the Rolling Stones had to cancel these arrangements. Their last live performance occurred on July 21, 2024, concluding their North American tour for “Hackney Diamonds.” Fans eagerly await the release of “Foreign Tongues” and can only anticipate the musical journey that the Rolling Stones will take them on with their latest offering.
