Despite the sweltering heat, over 50,000 fans gathered at the Daytona International Speedway to kick off Welcome To Rockville 2026 with an electrifying Day 1. The scorching Florida sun did little to deter the festival-goers who eagerly thronged the stages from early afternoon well into the night.

Day 1 was a powerhouse of performances featuring top-tier acts like Guns N’ Roses, Five Finger Death Punch, Godsmack, Amon Amarth, Story of the Year, Alice Cooper, All That Remains, Atreyu, and Black Label Society. The stages were alive with a diverse range of music genres including hard rock, metalcore, and classic rock, creating a whirlwind of festival chaos that enveloped the entire speedway.

One of the early highlights of the day came from Afterlife at the Vortex Stage, where they debuted their latest release, “Bad Habits,” igniting a massive circle pit and setting the stage for the frenzy to follow. The night reached its peak with Guns N’ Roses taking the stage for a legendary headlining performance. The band treated fans to a mix of classic hits, deep cuts, and surprise covers, including renditions of Black Sabbath’s “Never Say Die” and Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door.” A Slash guitar solo added an additional layer of classic rock nostalgia to their already epic set.
