The Araba ARF Tour initiative is all set to captivate the spirit of the Azkena Rock Festival in Santa Cruz de Campezo on June 13.
Returning this June, the Araba ARF Tour is a robust project aimed at spreading the essence of rock’n’roll far beyond Mendizabala and bringing the core of the Azkena Rock Festival to the province of Alava. Scheduled for June 13 in Santa Cruz de Campezo, this year’s event boasts a free access program that seeks to immerse the town in the festival’s distinctive soundscape. The lineup features a curated selection of artists blending local talent with international acts, covering genres like rock, punk, soul, and garage rock.
Bringing their raw energy all the way from Scotland, the punk duo Bratakus, composed of twins Breagha and Onnagh Cuinn, will grace the stage. Having recently opened for The Hives, their music is a potent mixture of attitude, irony, and social commentary. French artist Alexis Evans will showcase his infectious blend of classic soul, funk, and blues infused with a contemporary vibe. Representing the Basque scene, the seasoned Bilbao garage punk and rock’n’roll band The Sect will present their latest album, “Looking for the Light,” while Dog Hair, a local band from Kanpezu, will deliver their unembellished rock sound.
