Houkago Grind Time, Myxoma and Tunkio to perform in Helsinki in two weeks
HOUKAGO GRIND TIME, MYXOMA, and TUNKIO are set to perform in Helsinki in two weeks. The event is scheduled for May 26th at On The Rocks in Helsinki. HOUKAGO GRIND TIME, a solo anime-themed goregrind/mincecore project hailing from San Jose, was established in 2019 by multi-instrumentalist Andrew Lee (RIPPED TO SHREDS). The project combines high-speed grindcore with playful anime (moe/otaku) samples and humor, creating a unique blend often referred to as “wholesome cute anime goregrind.” Parodying K-On!, the project has released three full-length albums: “Bakyunsified (Moe to the Gore),” “The Second Raid,” and “Koncertos of Kawaiiness.”
Coming from Taipei, Taiwan, MYXOMA is a goregrind band known for their intense and chaotic style of underground music. They sometimes incorporate anime themes into their goregrind music, adding an interesting dimension to their sound. The opening act for the upcoming concert will be TUNKIO, a Finnish grindcore band known for their energetic performances. The show will kick off at 19:00 hrs on Tuesday, May 26th at On The Rocks in Helsinki. Tickets are available for €16 on Tiketti.
