Two new festivals are in the works for 2027 in Myrtle Beach, but before they can proceed, they require approval from the Burroughs & Chapin Co. The proposed Myrtle Beach RockFest is slated for May 7-9, 2027, and is planned to take place at the former Myrtle Square Mall site. On the other hand, Skyfest is scheduled for September 17-19, 2027, at the B&C Pavilion Place. The fate of these events currently hangs in the balance as organizers are still waiting for the go-ahead from Burroughs & Chapin Co. for the locations before the city can move forward with processing the necessary permits to host the festivals.

Aime Lee, who works with Palmetto Events, collaborates with Southern Entertainment Group to organize the Carolina Country Music Festival. Lee expressed enthusiasm for the potential of Myrtle Beach RockFest, stating, “It really would be a great event for the destination.” Lee is optimistic about the prospect of bringing a new music festival to Myrtle Beach and is hopeful that the approvals will come through.

In the world of event planning, securing the right venue is crucial for the success of any festival. Without the necessary permissions from the property owners, organizers are unable to proceed with their plans, regardless of the popularity or appeal of the proposed events. In this case, the Burroughs & Chapin Co. plays a pivotal role in the realization of the upcoming festivals, as their approval is the key that will unlock the doors to Myrtle Beach RockFest and Skyfest.

The anticipation surrounding these two festivals is palpable, with organizers eager to bring new and exciting entertainment options to Myrtle Beach. However, until the necessary approvals are granted, the fate of these events remains uncertain. The potential economic impact and cultural significance of hosting large-scale festivals cannot be understated, making it all the more crucial for the stakeholders involved to come to an agreement that benefits all parties.

As the weeks and months pass, the organizers and stakeholders involved in Myrtle Beach RockFest and Skyfest will continue to work diligently to secure the permissions needed to move forward with their plans. The timeline for these events is fast approaching, and time is of the essence in ensuring that everything falls into place for a successful festival season in 2027. With the support of the community and the cooperation of key decision-makers, Myrtle Beach could soon be home to two exciting new festivals that will add to the vibrancy and appeal of the city’s cultural landscape.
