The annual Art Rock festival is making its return to Saint-Brieuc in Brittany from June 6 to June 8, 2025. This long-standing festival has been a platform for showcasing art, theater, dance, and music, organized by the Wild Rose association. The event features a dynamic program that includes concerts, theater performances, dance shows, circus acts, and contemporary art exhibitions with a dash of video installations. Notably, some parts of the festival, such as exhibitions and street performances, are free of charge for attendees.

This year, the festival schedule has been pushed back slightly to June, later than its usual May slot. Nonetheless, the essence of the event remains the same, offering attendees a lineup of 70 concerts, shows, exhibitions, and screenings spread across various venues in Saint-Brieuc. The festival is known for its diverse musical lineup, and this year is no different. The program boasts not one, but two Scottish bands, with Texas fronted by charismatic Sharleen Spiteri and Franz Ferdinand led by Alex Kapranos.

The musical extravaganza will also feature French favorites such as La Femme, the unique Philippe Katerine, and the electrifying duo Kompromat comprised of Rebeka Warrior and Vitalic. Additionally, festival-goers can look forward to performances by Claude, the French DJ duo Scratch Massive, American artist Cat Power, rapper Zamdane, Yelle, and Oxmo Puccino. The entertainment doesn’t stop there as Royal de Luxe, the esteemed street theater company, under the guidance of Jean-Luc Courcoult, is making a comeback to Art Rock after 17 years. Their new creation, “Apesanteur,” promises to captivate audiences with their innovative storytelling.

The festival offers a three-day pass for attendees to indulge in the full range of performances and activities. From Texas and Yelle on the first day to Philippe Katerine and Royal de Luxe on the second day, and Franz Ferdinand and Yseult on the final day, the lineup is sure to cater to a wide range of musical tastes throughout the festival.
