Supersonic Festival announces complete 2026 lineup with new music video release
Supersonic Festival has put the finishing touches on its impressive 2026 lineup, adding new names and confirming a diverse range of artists set to perform. The festival, which takes place on April 25th and 26th in Digbeth, has already sold out, reflecting the high caliber of talent on offer.
Among the ten new additions to the bill, Guttersnipe promises to deliver their signature brand of queer-fueled noise-rock with a celebratory performance of their latest album, Extinction Burst!. Feeo will captivate the audience with immersive blends of drone, ambient, and minimalist electronics, while multi-instrumentalist Harry Górski-Brown will showcase a fusion of traditional music and experimental electroacoustic sound.
Returning to the festival stage is Jennifer Reid, who captivated audiences with her rooftop performance last year. This year, she will present Lancashire dialect songs juxtaposed against the bustling sounds of the city. Harry Reid will take on the stage as both an unaccompanied ballad singer and a DJ under the moniker Yung Grim Reaper, offering a diverse range of music genres. Hang Linton will also make a comeback with a late-night set to energize the crowd.
Thorn Wych, known for her ethereal songs and musical craftsmanship, will enchant listeners with her unique sound. Birmingham duo Monoxide Brothers will bring their catchy noise tunes to the festival, while Lucifer Sky and Peiriant promise innovative musical experiments.
Ancient Hostility, a close harmony folk duo with a political edge, will showcase songs that blend storytelling with social commentary, promising a thought-provoking performance. The festival’s Market Place will also make a return to offer visitors a chance to browse through records, zines, and other creative wares.
The highlight of the festival is the collaboration between Gayle Brogan, Nick Jonah Davis, and Elizabeth Still known as MMM, who released a new video for their track “Hands to Stone, Eyes to Stars.” Recorded in the Outer Hebrides, the album Lunistice Alignments captures the trio’s response to the megalithic site at the Calanais Stones. The video features stunning footage of the stones by filmmaker Ian Nesbitt.
In addition to the music lineup, the festival will host workshops, film screenings, and interactive sessions, including protest banner printing, talisman-making, and a sound bath experience. Stuart Maconie’s Freak Zone Pub Quiz and a kids’ gig will round out the festival programming.
As evidenced by this year’s lineup, Supersonic Festival continues to push the boundaries of music curation and artistic expression, solidifying its reputation as one of the premier music festivals in the country.
