The upcoming album, produced by legendary Bob Rock, marks the band’s fourth studio album and is the result of 12 years of hard work and dedication.
With two Top 40 singles on the Canadian Active Rock Charts, The Damn Truth has cemented their place in the rock scene. Bob Rock’s influence on the band has been instrumental in refining their sound and pushing them to new heights. Singer Lee-la Baum reminisces about the fateful phone call from Bob Rock that initiated the album’s production. Recorded over two months at Bryan Adams’ Warehouse Studios in Vancouver, the album promises a classic rock experience with a modern edge. Bob Rock’s vision for the project was to capture the raw energy and spirit of rock and roll, akin to Led Zeppelin’s debut album.
Led by Lee-La Baum on vocals and guitar, The Damn Truth’s lineup includes lead guitarist Tom Shemer, bass-player PY Letellier, and drummer Dave Traina. Critics have praised Baum’s powerful vocals, drawing comparisons to iconic rock singers like Grace Slick and Ann Wilson. The band’s collaboration with Bob Rock brought new dimensions to their music, adding layers and depth to their sound.
The band’s previous album, “Now or Nowhere,” received critical acclaim and gained traction in the UK and Europe, with extensive radio play and successful tours.
