The Weeknd has recently unveiled his latest album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, with a lineup of featured artists including Playboi Carti, Anitta, and more. This album marks the final chapter in a trilogy that commenced with After Hours in 2020 and was followed by Dawn FM in 2022.

Back in September of 2024, Abel Tesfaye, also known as The Weeknd, offered a sneak peek of Hurry Up Tomorrow. He kicked off the album’s release with “Timeless,” featuring Playboi Carti as its lead single. The artist further teased his fans with live renditions of the album’s tracks at an exclusive show in Sǎo Paolo, drawing millions of viewers on a YouTube livestream.

Originally set to drop on January 24th, the album’s release was postponed due to the California wildfires. In response to this crisis, Tesfaye generously donated $1 million towards wildfire relief efforts. Additionally, all proceeds from the song “Take Me Back to LA” are pledged towards the LA Regional Food Bank.

The past year has been nothing short of extraordinary for Tesfaye, as he made history in 2024 by reaching the milestone of having 27 songs with over 1 billion streams each on Spotify. To commemorate the release of Hurry Up Tomorrow, The Weeknd has teamed up with Spotify for the Hurry Up Tomorrow “Pop Up Experience.” This immersive art installation will grace New York City from January 31st to February 2nd.

Moreover, 2025 holds even more excitement for Tesfaye as he prepares to star in a feature film inspired by his latest album. Sharing the screen with Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan, the psychological thriller will be directed by Trey Edward Schults and is scheduled for a May 16th theater release. This venture follows Tesfaye’s role in HBO’s The Idol back in 2023, a series he co-created in collaboration with Sam Levinson from Euphoria and Reza Fahim.

Fans everywhere can now listen to The Weeknd’s Hurry Up Tomorrow, immersing themselves in the artist’s newest musical journey.
