The Funeral Portrait Releases New Version of “Holy Water”

Emo rock revival outfit, THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT, comprised of Lee Jennings (Vocals), Cody Weissinger (Guitar), Caleb Freihaut (Guitar/Auxiliary), Robert Weston (Bass), and Homer Umbanhowar (Drums), is set to launch a deluxe version of their highly praised second album, GREETINGS FROM SUFFOCATE CITY, on June 13th through Better Noise Music.

In anticipation of the album release, the band has announced an instant grat track exclusively available with pre-orders, which features a new rendition of their song “Holy Water.” This version includes vocals by Ivan Moody of Five Finger Death Punch, with whom THE FUNERAL PORTRAIT toured alongside in 2024. Ivan Moody’s distinctive and powerful vocal style brings a fresh dynamic to the track.

“Holy Water” has already made a significant impact on the radio, debuting on Billboard’s “Mainstream Rock Tracks” chart at #21 within its first week. A music video for the song will be unveiled on Friday, March 28th.

Fans can now pre-order digital, CD, and vinyl copies of the deluxe edition of GREETINGS FROM SUFFOCATE CITY. The digital version boasts 24 tracks, including “Holy Water” featuring Ivan Moody, songs from the CASSANOVA EP and FROM BEYOND THE ABYSS EP, as well as a new version of “Hearse for Two” featuring Lilith Czar and three additional tracks – “Skinny Lies,” “Evergreen,” and “Lost Boy.” The CD and vinyl deluxe editions include 21 tracks, with one exclusive track for physical formats called “Friends Like These.”
