April 2025: Colorado Artists Featured in The Local 303
Spring has arrived, and along with it comes a fresh wave of music releases from talented Colorado artists. This month, we turn our spotlight towards artists gearing up for the FoCoMx music festival in Fort Collins, as well as those achieving exciting milestones in their careers.
Elka, a rising indie-folk band, is set to perform at FoCoMx for the second consecutive year. This group, featuring members from former Local 303 acts Frail Talk and Slow Caves, draws inspiration from the likes of Smog and Big Thief. Following the celebration of their sophomore album release, Denver’s indie rock trio Tiny Tomboy will make a return to Fort Collins, bringing their electrifying live performance to FoCoMx once more. Another familiar face is Covenhoven, whose fifth album is slated for release this month, with a Denver release show scheduled for April 12 at Swallow Hill.
The Galentines, an all-girl rock band hailing from Boulder, are making waves with tracks from their debut album, while Denver favorites Chella & the Charm are back with their latest release, “Happy Hour.” Catch Chella & the Charm at hi-dive on May 5 for their release show, and join them for a special performance at the Local 303 Meetup on the Monday before. Fresh from a tour in the Pacific Northwest, Machete Mouth is back in Denver, ready to deliver their emotive electronic sound at several shows this month.
Tune in to hear these incredible artists and more featured on-air throughout the month, and be sure not to miss the opportunity to connect with some of them in person at the Local 303 Meetup. Join us on Monday, April 28, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. for a free event celebrating Colorado’s vibrant music community. The evening will feature a live performance by Chella & the Charm, as well as a chance to win concert tickets and other exciting door prizes.
