The Milk Men to Release New Live Album Recorded at Milkfest

Our aim was to capture the authentic, raw energy of those classic live albums, and we hope that Live at Milkfest accomplishes that. What sets our album apart is that it was not overdubbed, unlike many other live recordings.”

The album was captured by Leo Mansell, with mastering and editing done by Wayne Proctor. Featuring a captivating cover photo by Paul Dubbelman and a cameo on the Hammond organ by Paul Long, the album showcases every Milk Men album to date. The tracklist includes a powerful rendition of The Who’s “Pinball Wizard” alongside original songs like “Shoot The Lights,” “Hungover,” and “Cheap Seats.”

Lead guitarist Adam shares his excitement, stating, “Live at Milkfest harks back to the raw, gritty live albums of the 1970s. It’s not about perfection, but about capturing the essence of a live performance in its purest form, without any enhancements or overdubs.”

Vocalist Jamie chimed in, expressing their fondness for classic live albums and the desire to replicate that authenticity. They emphasized the uniqueness of their album, which remains unaltered and unmodified, reflecting the band’s dedication to delivering an unfiltered listening experience for their fans.

Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties, Todd Sharpville’s guest appearance had to be excluded from the album. Nevertheless, his dog, Genghis, makes a charming appearance on the album cover. With a solid mix of original tracks and a fierce cover of a classic hit, Live at Milkfest promises to be a treat for fans of blues rock music.

In anticipation of the album release on May 16th, a live single titled “Fabulous” will be available on May 2nd. Both the single and the album will be offered for digital download. The Milk Men have earned nominations for numerous British Blues Awards and have achieved chart-topping success in the blues music scene. Their live performances have garnered widespread acclaim, solidifying their status as one of the UK’s premier blues rock bands.

Looking ahead, the band is gearing up for the next Milkfest event, scheduled for March 1st next year, with proceeds going to support Dementia UK. The Milk Men’s extensive tour dates demonstrate their commitment to bringing their electrifying live show to audiences across the UK. With a packed schedule of performances lined up, fans can catch the band at various music venues and festivals throughout the year.
