Arcade Fire reveals title track from upcoming ‘Pink Elephant’ album

Arcade Fire has unveiled the title track from their upcoming seventh studio album, Pink Elephant, which follows their 2022 album WE. The renowned Canadian indie rock band is gearing up to release the new album on May 9, after previously dropping the lead single “Year Of The Snake.”

Recorded at the band’s Good News Recording Studio in New Orleans, Pink Elephant will consist of ten tracks, totaling approximately 42 minutes. The band teases that the album will offer a fusion of cinematic mystical punk vibes.

Lead vocalist Win Butler expressed that the track Pink Elephant serves as a cornerstone for the album’s overall sound. “Sometimes you find a song that feels like it encapsulates the whole universe,” he shared. “Even if the other songs haven’t been finalized yet, you can sense they’re on their way. It’s like discovering an oasis in a desert—you know others will gather around it.”

Furthermore, Arcade Fire is scheduled to appear as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live on May 10, with the talented Walton Goggins taking on the hosting duties. Earlier this year, the band teamed up with David Byrne and St. Vincent for a rendition of David Bowie’s “Heroes” as part of SNL’s 50th anniversary celebration.
