At the award ceremony, iconic songwriter David Porter, a pivotal figure in the music industry, presented Chuck D with the prestigious honor. The event also offered support to the Soulsville Foundation’s programs, such as the Music Employs initiative and the Stax Music Academy, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
