Fuji Rock in Japan Releases Lineups for Specific Stages Before Main Stage Announcement
With the highly anticipated Fuji Rock Festival quickly approaching, organizers have recently disclosed the lineup for various revered and distinct stages leading up to the complete announcement of its four main stages. The festival is scheduled to take place over the weekend of July 25–27 at Naeba Ski Resort in Niigata Prefecture, Japan.
An important highlight includes performances by London-based electronic duo Joy(Anonymous) and garage rock band US on Friday, July 25. Joy(Anonymous), renowned for their dynamic and improvisational live performances, is set to bring their high-energy dance tunes to the picturesque mountains of Naeba. On the other hand, US will grace the stage for the second consecutive year after a well-received solo performance that solidified their growing reputation.
Additionally, Friday will feature the return of ROUTE 17 Rock’n’Roll ORCHESTRA, a group of top musicians from previous lineups that emerged as a supergroup at the festival. This year’s ensemble boasts esteemed members such as Kumiko Yamashita, Hiroto Kikimoto, Gen Kugiya, Liam Ó Maonlaí, and a reprising US.
The schedule for Saturday will see the comeback of GINGER ROOT, the brainchild of Cameron Lew, offering a unique mix of soul and synth-pop. Joining them will be JANE REMOVER, an emerging voice in hyperpop and alt-pop hailing from Chicago, along with YHWH NAILGUN, a boundary-pushing alternative rock group from New York whose debut album from 2025 has garnered critical acclaim.
Bringing the weekend to a close on Sunday, July 27, UK rap and R&B sensation LITTLE SIMZ, the recipient of the Mercury Prize and Brit Award, will showcase her lyrical prowess and dominant stage presence at the festival’s final day.
Peripherals of Fuji Rock Festival are just as exciting as the main stage performances, with immersive side-stage experiences showcasing different attractions:
