Drake schedules additional Manchester show for UK tour due to high demand
Drake, the GRAMMY award-winning and multi-platinum global artist, has recently announced an additional date for his upcoming Manchester shows due to remarkable demand. Previously revealing plans for two massive gigs in Manchester next month alongside Canadian rapper PARTYNEXTDOOR, Drake has now added an extra date in response to the overwhelming interest.
The tour, named ‘$ome$pecial $hows 4 UK’, follows the recent collaborative album release by the two artists, titled $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, which was released on Valentine’s Day this year. The anticipated arena tour will begin with performances on 20 and 21 July at Birmingham Utilita Arena prior to Drake’s appearances in Manchester.
Originally scheduled for Friday, 25 and Saturday, 26 July at Co-op Live in Manchester, Drake’s tour will now include an additional date on Monday, 28 July. Following his Manchester shows, the tour extends across Europe with performances in Munich, Paris, Berlin, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, and more, concluding on 23 September in Hamburg at Barclays Arena.
This European and UK tour marks Drake’s first return to these regions in six years since his Assassination Vacation Tour in 2019. Notably, Drake completed his sold-out 80-date It’s All A Blur Tour across North America in 2023 and 2024, featuring guests 21 Savage and J. Cole.
Wireless Festival recently announced Drake as the headliner for all three nights, setting a record for the festival’s fastest sell-out in its 20-year history. With unique setlists and special guests, the festival tickets sold out within minutes. In Manchester, Drake will perform on Friday, 25 July, Saturday, 26 July, and Monday, 28 July.
In line with the festive spirit, Disney On Ice presents its ‘Find Your Hero’ tour in Manchester this Christmas season. Bringing together beloved Disney characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, the production captures timeless tales with classic songs and world-class ice skating. The show portrays iconic Disney stories from movies like Encanto, Moana, Frozen, The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, and Tangled through captivating ice performances.
The Disney On Ice cast undergoes over 550 hours of rehearsals to perfect each show, accompanied by choreographers and designers responsible for creating hundreds of props and costumes. After touring various cities in the UK, the show will arrive at Manchester’s AO Arena this December, promising an unforgettable experience for families and Disney fans alike.
