Gabriel Grossi joins Dave Matthews Band for performance in Sao Paulo

After performing at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey on Tuesday, Dave Matthews Band embarked on a journey to Brazil for two performances. The band is headlining the Best Of Blues & Rock Festival in Sao Paulo, where they will share the stage with Richard Ashcroft and Barão Vermelho. This festival, now in its 12th year, is held at Ibirapuera Park, a renowned venue in Sao Paulo.

The show in Sao Paulo opened with the energetic performance of “Don’t Drink the Water,” transitioning seamlessly into a sequence that included “So Much To Say,” “Anyone Seen The Bridge,” and “Too Much.” The audience was then treated to a selection of fan favorites, such as “Grace Is Gone,” “Satellite,” “Crash Into Me,” “Jimi Thing,” “Everyday,” and “Tripping Billies.” Halfway through the set, Brazilian harmonica player Gabriel Grossi joined the band on stage. Grossi, known for his work as a solo artist and as a member of the Grammy-nominated Hamilton de Holanda Quintet, showcased his talent on “What Would You Say.”

The group is set to grace the stage at Ibirapuera Park once again in the coming evening before returning to the United States for a performance at the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater on Wednesday.

The band’s performance at the Best Of Blues & Rock Festival showcased a diverse setlist that delighted fans in Sao Paulo. From classic hits like “Crash Into Me” and “Tripping Billies” to newer favorites like “You Might Die Trying” and “Shake Me Like a Monkey,” Dave Matthews Band delivered a memorable show for all in attendance.
