Former People’s Power Representative Han Dong-hoon has been engaging in a unique form of politics through live broadcasts, but some within his community feel that there are certain aspects of his “Live Broadcasting (Labang) Politics” that are burdensome. Concerns have been raised that the content of his broadcasts may not match the seriousness of the current situation facing the party.

During an appearance on MBC radio’s “Eyes Concentration,” People’s Power member and pro-limit lawmaker Park Jung-ha shared his thoughts on Han’s approach, stating, “The party is in such disarray right now, but it seems too casual.” Park expressed that while live broadcasts can cater to a specific audience, they may come across as too light-hearted for those in the political sphere who prefer a more direct communication style.

Park further emphasized the need for a shift in Han’s communication strategy, stating, “The party is facing significant challenges, and it’s important to address them with a sense of gravity. I’ve communicated this to Han, and I anticipate that changes will be made to reflect these concerns.”

Acknowledging Park’s feedback, Han Dong-hoon expressed his willingness to adapt and embrace a different approach to his Labang politics. He recognized the importance of ensuring his communication style aligns with the seriousness of the party’s current situation, indicating a readiness to make the necessary adjustments for a more effective engagement with the audience.

Since launching his Labang politics on April 18 during the People’s Power presidential primary campaign, Han has utilized live broadcasts as a means to communicate with his audience by engaging in real-time interactions from various everyday settings such as his home or car. By creating a direct channel for communication, Han aims to foster a sense of connection and transparency with his supporters.

Recent broadcasts have shown Han’s diverse interests, from conducting live sessions at a rock festival to showcasing T-shirt making tutorials. While these broadcasts offer a glimpse into his personal life and interests, there is a growing call for a more strategic and focused approach that addresses the pressing issues facing the party.

As Han Dong-hoon navigates the feedback from his peers and community members, there is a sense of anticipation for the evolution of his Labang politics. By striking a balance between authenticity and gravitas in his communication style, Han has the opportunity to reshape his approach and better address the challenges and expectations placed upon him as a public figure within the People’s Power party.
