OMNIUM GATHERUM releases “The Last Hero” and plans new album for later in the year

Finnish metal band Omnium Gatherum has returned with a brand-new single titled “The Last Hero,” featuring direction by long-time collaborator Jari Heino and additional footage by Brendan McGowan. The track serves as a preview for the group’s upcoming album May The Bridges We Burn Light The Way, expected to drop later this year.

Guitarist Markus Vanhala shared his thoughts on the new single, stating that “The Last Hero” promises a heavier and more rhythmic experience compared to previous releases. The song encapsulates an OG anthem centered around an old-school street hero who embodies unwavering resilience and a constant drive to fight.

Vocalist Jukka Pelkonen described the track as fast-paced, melodic, and aggressive with a catchy chorus that packs a strong punch. Lyrically, “The Last Hero” narrates the tale of an individual who refuses to give up, highlighting both the positive and negative repercussions of such persistence.

Additionally, Omnium Gatherum has unveiled a series of tour dates alongside Falliujah slated for 2025, kicking off in Copenhagen and touching down in various European cities before culminating in London, UK. This extensive tour schedule promises fans a powerful and electrifying experience courtesy of two talented metal acts.

The band’s return to the live circuit has also brought former guitarist Joonas Koto back into the fold, following the departure of Nick Cordle from live performances. This reunion adds an extra layer of nostalgia and excitement to the upcoming tour, providing fans with an opportunity to witness the band’s evolution and growth firsthand.
