In their latest selection, four albums stand out for their ability to resonate with audiences through their sincere emotions and summer-appropriate sounds.

The first release highlighted by the Kindy Lounge is the single “Molteuri” by the seven-member band South Carnival, known for representing Jeju. This track, released on June 26, delves into the loneliness of a young Malteuri through the lens of the Jeju dialect. The song beautifully captures the intimate bond between the Malteuri and the horse, evoking a sense of nostalgia and connection. South Carnival is set to perform at prestigious events like Japan’s “Readical Music Network 2025” and “Fuji Rock Festival 2025,” marking the beginning of their international endeavors.

Another exciting debut comes from KIK, a project band consisting of Jung Woo-seok of Pentagon, Jung Min-hyuk of Lacuna, and Oh Myung-seok of SURL. Their EP titled “KIK,” released on the 30th of last month, embodies the essence of youth, emotions, and the joy of living life to the fullest. The band has already made its mark with a showcase in Seoul and will further engage with fans through the SBS Music Competition “Summer UNIPOP.”

On July 3, the Curiosity Studio band DPNS completed their EP series “Spectra” with the release of “Spectra: RGB.” This finale explores a spectrum of emotions using the theme of the three primary colors of light (RGB). The EP features the captivating title track “Rainbow” along with an eclectic mix of songs that showcase different genres and moods, creating a multi-layered listening experience.

Meanwhile, the female duo Voice Recording unveiled their latest single “Drifter” on the same day. The song paints a vivid narrative blurring the lines between fantasy and reality, emotions and memories. Through a combination of rich sounds and soulful vocals, the duo conveys the unwavering determination of a wandering protagonist in pursuit of love. Listeners are transported to a captivating universe, making “Drifter” a standout summer anthem.

Looking ahead, the Mule Cooperative behind the Kindy Lounge is gearing up for a new project called “La Laon.” This initiative aims to provide emerging indie artists and concert halls nationwide with valuable stage opportunities while promoting diversity in popular music and fostering local music culture. With 150 teams set to participate across 50 small concert halls, La Laon promises to be a platform for fresh talent and musical creativity to thrive.

In conclusion, from soulful ballads to vibrant anthems, the latest releases selected by the Kindy Lounge offer a diverse range of musical experiences that capture the essence of summer. As these artists continue to make their mark in the industry, music enthusiasts can look forward to discovering new sounds and narratives that resonate deeply with them.
