Vulfpeck performed a sold-out show at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado to kick off their 2025 concert series. The band, originally from Michigan, took the stage for the first time at this venue since 2019, delivering an unforgettable performance that included special guests and a tribute to Phish.

The night began with the band opening with “Dean Town,” a crowd-pleasing choice followed by another fan favorite, “1612.” Vulfpeck then transitioned into “Cory Wong” and “Disco Ulysses” before moving on to “Tender Defender,” the first of many songs from their latest album, Clarity Of Cal, to be showcased at Red Rocks.

Drummer Adam Deitch, known for his work with Lettuce, joined the band on stage for a captivating rendition of “Funky Duck.” Deitch’s appearance marked another collaborative performance with Vulfpeck, dating back to a guest appearance in 2015 at Brooklyn Bowl.

The band continued their set with more tracks from Clarity Of Cal, including “Big Dipper” and “Matter Of Time.” They also delved into songs like “LAX” from The Joy Of Music, The Job Of Real Estate, alongside tunes such as “Can You Tell,” “In Real Life,” and “This Is Not The Song I Wrote.”

A special segment of the show saw Vulfpeck perform songs from Jack Stratton’s Vulfmon project, including “How Much Do You Love Me?” and “Tokyo Night” featuring vocalist Evangeline. The band closed out the set with hits like “New Beastly,” “Baby I Don’t Know Oh Oh,” and “Back Pocket.”

For the encore, Vulfpeck paid tribute to Phish with a rendition of “Waste,” featuring stellar harmonies and vocals from the band. The atmosphere was electric as they followed up with “Wait For The Moment,” which included a remarkable bass solo from Joe Dart. The night ended on a high note with a cover of King Harvest’s “Dancing In The Moonlight,” with Evangeline lending her vocals once again.

Despite Phish performing simultaneously at Folsom Field in Boulder, Vulfpeck’s homage to the iconic band resonated with the audience and showcased their versatility and musical prowess. The entire performance was captured by fans and can be viewed online for those who missed this unforgettable night at Red Rocks.
