Known for his hit song “Black and Yellow,” Wiz Khalifa is gearing up for the release of his new album, Wizzlemania.

On Friday, the Pavilion will host country music sensation Thomas Rhett, son of 1990s country star Rhett Atkins. Rhett is on tour promoting his latest album, About A Woman. The Tisburys, WXPN’s June Artist to Watch, will perform a Free at Noon show at World Cafe Live the same day. Later in the evening, music fans can catch Anthony Green, a Doylestown native known for his work with Circa Survive and other bands, at Underground Arts.

For those seeking a powerful vocal performance, Nicole Henry, daughter of Sixers’ player Al Henry, will grace the stage at South Jazz Kitchen from Friday to Sunday. The legendary Rod Stewart will be in town on Saturday, celebrating his eightieth birthday with his “One Last Time” world tour at the Mann Center, accompanied by the iconic Cheap Trick. Another noteworthy event on Saturday is the performance by indie band Murder By Death at Union Transfer, with Laura Jane Grace as the opening act. To commemorate the fortieth anniversary of Live Aid, Martha Graham Cracker & Friends will put on a special show at Union Transfer on Sunday, with Pierre Robert as the emcee.

The Flying V’s, an all-female harmonizing group, will mark the release of their EP with a performance at the Ethical Society on Rittenhouse Square on Sunday evening. Ladysmith Black Mambazo, known for their Isicathamiya-inspired music, will perform at the Sellersville Theater on Monday night. Irish singer-songwriter Hozier will take the stage at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden on Tuesday, supported by Gigi Perez. In Atlantic City, Rick Springfield will headline the “I Want My ’80s Tour” at the Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena on Friday, while Darius Rucker, formerly of Hootie & the Blowfish, will entertain audiences on Saturday. DJ Steve Aoki will keep the party going at the HQ2 Nightclub at Ocean on Saturday, alongside performances by Young the Giant at the Tropicana and the Dead Milkmen at Anchor Rock Club.
