Alter Bridge has recently confirmed the release of their highly awaited eighth studio album, which will be self-titled. The new album is scheduled to be available on January 9, 2025, in different formats including digital, CD, and special edition vinyls. The cover art and tracklisting have been released, and fans can now pre-order physical editions as well.

To mark the album’s release, Alter Bridge is gearing up for an extensive European tour named The What Lies Within Tour. Starting on January 15 at Sporthalle in Hamburg, Germany, the tour will feature special guests Daughtry and Sevendust. Pre-sales for venue tickets are set to begin on Thursday, July 17, with general tickets being available for purchase on Friday, July 18. Fans who pre-order the album will have exclusive access to a special ticket pre-sale.

Leading up to the album release, the band has been teasing the arrival of their new music since their successful 2022 album, Pawns & Kings. Through a social media post, the band hinted at the upcoming album with the phrase “Faders are moving. Frequencies shifting. The storm is starting to take shape.” This post also included the hashtag “Signals in the Static,” potentially indicating the title of an upcoming single. Alter Bridge’s prior album, Pawns & Kings, achieved top rankings on various music charts, including hitting No. 1 on the UK’s Rock & Metal Albums Chart, and securing Top 10 positions on Billboard’s Top Rock and Top Hard Rock Albums charts.

Since the release of Pawns & Kings, band members Mark Tremonti, Scott Phillips, and Brian Marshall have been keeping busy. Tremonti and Kennedy each released solo albums, with Mark’s “The End Will Show Us How” reaching No. 2 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart, and Kennedy’s “The Art of Letting Go” securing a spot in the Top 20 on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart. Creed, the band’s other project, recently concluded their massive reunion tour, selling out venues nationwide and embarking on a music cruise due to popular demand. Their demand remains high heading into 2025, prompting another round of tour dates and the Summer of ‘99 and Beyond Festival.

In addition to their headline tour, Creed will be hosting the Summer of ‘99 and Beyond Festival with Nickelback as co-headliners. The festival will be held at Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, WI on July 18 and 19, marking the 25th anniversary of the bands’ performances at the venue. The festival is scheduled for two days this year and marks the first time both bands will share the stage since 1999. Creed also recently completed the Summer of ’99 Cruise to the Bahamas, featuring a lineup of well-known rock acts. They also performed at Stagecoach alongside artists from various genres, highlighting the eclectic nature of the festival.
