Jon LaDeau, with his latest album Chateau LaDeau, transports listeners to a soundworld reminiscent of rock ‘n’ roll glory days, evoking memories of Tom Petty and the Traveling Wilburys. This album, released on the 22nd of July 2025 under Adhyâropa Records, showcases Jon LaDeau’s musical prowess and versatility.
Originally from Pine Barrens, New Jersey, Jon LaDeau is now firmly based in Brooklyn, New York. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, producer, and songwriter, he has gained recognition for his exceptional guitar skills. Chateau LaDeau marks the fifth album in his solo career, which began in 2019 with his debut album, Roads. Notably, Jon LaDeau has also been a member of the Americana band The National Reserve, sharing stages with renowned artists like Jeff Tweedy, Emmylou Harris, and Sturgill Simpson.
The eight tracks on Chateau LaDeau started as demos and were brought to life with the assistance of drummer and producer David Butler. Jon showcases his musical talents by taking on the lead vocal role and playing various instruments such as guitars, bass, drums, percussion, and organ. Joining him is David Butler on drums, percussion, piano, synthesizer, mellotron, orchestral bells, and vocals from Emily Jackson and Chris Barker. Steve Okonski also contributes organ when needed, creating a harmonious collaboration.
