F1: The Movie has not only been a hit at the box office but has also made its mark in the music industry. The film’s soundtrack, F1 the Album, has taken over Billboard’s Top Movie Songs chart for June 2025, with seven out of the top 10 tracks belonging to the movie. Leading the pack is Tate McRae’s powerful song “Just Keep Watching,” which debuts at No. 1 on the chart.

“Just Keep Watching,” released before the film’s premiere on June 27, quickly gained traction on streaming platforms, garnering 44 million U.S. streams and 5,000 downloads in June alone. The track made its entry on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 33 and continues to climb, currently sitting at No. 60 on the chart dated August 2.

The success of the F1 soundtrack doesn’t stop there. Chris Stapleton’s “Bad As I Used To Be” follows at No. 2 with 10.5 million streams, with Don Toliver and Doja Cat’s collaboration “Lose My Mind” at No. 3 and Ed Sheeran’s soulful “Drive” at No. 4, rounding out the top four spots—all occupied by F1 tracks.

The popularity of the F1 soundtrack extends beyond individual singles. F1 the Album made its debut at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 with 28,000 equivalent album units and maintains its position at No. 32 this week. Jack Black’s “Steve’s Lava Chicken” from A Minecraft Movie is the only non-F1 entry in the top five, dropping to No. 5 after a two-month reign at the top.

Notable mentions on the chart include Queen’s “We Will Rock You” at No. 6 and Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love” at No. 10, both prominently featured in the adrenaline-filled scenes of F1. The success of the F1 the Album showcases a well-thought-out release strategy, with the soundtrack hitting the market on May 30, almost a month before the film’s premiere, creating early buzz and engaging fans.

The synergy between the film and its music has resulted in a cultural moment that is both exhilarating and emotionally impactful, mirroring the essence of the movie itself. With F1 tracks continuing to gain momentum across various platforms, Tate McRae’s chart-topping hit could be just the beginning of more No. 1 songs to come from this unexpected musical success.

The Billboard chart, powered by Tunefind, employs a mix of film soundtrack data, sales figures, and streaming metrics to rank top-performing songs featured in recently released films. The June ranking unequivocally proves that F1: The Movie is not merely a cinematic spectacle but a musical phenomenon in its own right.
