Indie rock icons The Cribs are making a long-awaited comeback with their first album in more than five years, titled “Selling A Vibe,” scheduled for release on January 9th, 2026. The band’s new single, “Summer Seizures,” has premiered on BBC 6 Music, marking the exciting return of the trio consisting of brothers Gary, Ryan, and Ross Jarman. After spending considerable time apart in different time zones, The Cribs felt trapped in a cycle of album releases and tours, prompting them to take a break from music to focus on deepening their family bonds. This hiatus allowed the band to reconnect on a personal level, paving the way for “Selling A Vibe,” arguably their most candid and introspective work to date.

Guitarist and vocalist Ryan Jarman revealed that “Summer Seizures” was the inaugural track penned during the album’s creation, establishing the thematic essence that runs through the entire project. Touching upon love, loss, and self-acceptance against the vibrant backdrop of a New York City summer, the song captures an emotional journey that resonates with listeners. The corresponding music video, shot on 16mm film by director Andy Knowles, conveys a raw and authentic aesthetic, allowing the band’s musical essence and current dynamics to shine through.

For their latest album, The Cribs aimed to diverge from their usual creative process, teaming up with producer Patrick Wimberly, recognized for his work with acclaimed acts such as Solange and MGMT. This collaboration sought to inject a contemporary edge to the band’s sound while accentuating their innate pop sensibilities. Bassist Gary Jarman emphasized the deeply personal nature of “Selling A Vibe,” asserting that the album transcends genre labels like “indie rock” or “punk,” urging listeners to engage with the music and lyrics on a profound and meaningful level.

To mark their return, The Cribs have unveiled plans for a headline tour across the UK in Spring 2026, alongside a string of live performances this year, including a benefit concert for War Child and a set at All Points East in London. The tour will see the band captivating audiences with their electrifying sound and captivating stage presence, showcasing tracks from “Selling A Vibe” along with fan favorites from their extensive discography.

Don’t miss the opportunity to experience The Cribs live as they bring their high-energy performance to a city near you, delivering an unforgettable musical experience that transcends boundaries and resonates deeply with their dedicated fanbase.
