The Smashing Pumpkins are set to commemorate the 25th anniversary of their album Machina/The Machines of God with a new deluxe vinyl box set release on August 22nd, available exclusively at Billy Corgan’s Madame Zuzu’s tea shop in Highland Park, Illinois. This special box set will also include the companion record Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music along with 32 bonus tracks.

Machina/The Machines Of God marked the band’s fifth album, and fans can look forward to the 80-song collection that Madame Zuzu’s will be offering solely. This comprehensive box set consists of a 48-track Machina and an additional 32 tracks of bonus demos, outtakes, and live performances. To further celebrate this milestone, The Smashing Pumpkins have made other reissues available, such as a 2LP vinyl reissue, a limited-edition color 2LP in corona red/black, and a CD version of the album.

Billy Corgan expressed his excitement in a press release about finally releasing MACHINA as it was envisioned by the band. “It’s taken some 25 years to finally release MACHINA as we in the band had hoped it would be, and with MadameZuzus.com as the only place one can get this expansive, 80-song collection, I personally could not be more proud.” He went on to mention the album’s significance as their swan song and the effort that went into bringing it to fruition. Corgan emphasized the importance of the songs in helping the band members stay motivated and positive.
