Shaboozey contributes track to ‘The Long Walk’ soundtrack – JAM Broadcasting

Shaboozey, well-known for hits like “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” is set to make an appearance in movie theaters with his latest contribution to the soundtrack of the upcoming Stephen King film adaptation titled The Long Walk. Scheduled for release on September 12, the end titles of the movie will feature Shaboozey’s new song “Took a Walk,” which will be available on digital platforms from September 5.

Initially approached by Lionsgate, the studio behind the film, to use his song “Last of My Kind” in the trailer, Shaboozey was so inspired by the movie that he decided to create an entirely new track specifically for it. Reflecting on the film’s themes, he expressed a connection with the characters who cling to hope for a better future despite their seemingly bleak circumstances. Collaborating with musician Stephen J. Wilson, who contributed guitar to the song, Shaboozey aimed to capture the timeless and soulful essence of the movie in his music.
