The 1975 reissue of Fleetwood Mac’s album has made an impressive climb to the No. 8 spot on Billboard’s Vinyl Albums chart. With sales surging by a remarkable 955% following the release of the 50th anniversary edition by Rhino Records, the album has seen a significant boost in popularity. Luminate data indicates that weekly sales have jumped from under 500 to 5,000 units, showcasing the strong demand for this fresh edition that includes Blu-ray versions and special vinyl pressings.

This achievement represents a milestone for the album, marking its first appearance in the top 10 of the Vinyl Albums chart since its debut in April 2025. It has only made two appearances in the rankings so far, making this recent success all the more notable. This release also adds to Fleetwood Mac’s impressive track record on the Vinyl Albums chart, with this particular album now being their sixth to reach the top 10.

The success of the album extends beyond the realm of vinyl, as it has also received a nine-times platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Additionally, it has made a comeback on multiple Billboard charts, such as reaching No. 16 in Top Album Sales, No. 20 in Top Rock Albums, and No. 24 in Top Rock & Alternative Albums. Its position on the Billboard 200 at No. 90 further solidifies its enduring popularity amongst music enthusiasts.

In joining the ranks of Fleetwood Mac’s albums like “Rumours” and “Greatest Hits” on several Billboard lists, the 1975 reissue has proven to be a significant addition to the band’s discography. The band has seen success with six top 10 albums on the Vinyl Albums chart, showcasing the enduring appeal of their music. Notably, “Rumours” has stood out amongst the rest, claiming the No. 1 spot for a week during its impressive 424-week chart run.

By taking the No. 8 position on the Vinyl Albums chart, this reissue of the self-titled album has made a notable impact, especially as it displaces “Rumours,” which now holds the No. 12 spot. This resurgence of the 1975 album highlights a pivotal moment in Fleetwood Mac’s journey towards their next breakthrough. In a poignant statement on the band’s Instagram page, drummer Mick Fleetwood described the experience of being in Fleetwood Mac as akin to “being in group therapy,” underscoring the deep bond and connection shared amongst band members.
