ZADA Releases New Song “Leave The Show”
After much anticipation, rising alternative R&B artist ZADA has dropped her latest track, “Leave The Show.” Infusing elements of Reggae Rock/Dub with captivating electric guitar melodies and powerful vocals, the song was crafted in collaboration with the renowned producers Chin Injeti (known for working with Eminem, P!nk, J. Cole) and Brian West (recognized for his work with Nelly Furtado, Sia, Bono). ZADA, along with Injeti and West, penned the compelling lyrics for this dynamic tune.
Reflecting on the inspiration behind the song, ZADA shares, “I initially wrote ‘Leave The Show’ when I was 19, and it remained in the back of my mind for some time. It started as a demo and evolved over the years until I felt compelled to release it after performing it live. At 22, reimagining this track resonated even more with me. The liveliness and essence of liberation captured in this record make it one of our most thrilling creations to date. We delved into the raw, live sounds to cultivate a vibe that could captivate audiences at festivals.”
“Leave The Show” follows the success of ZADA’s previous singles, “Access Denied” and “Breath Away,” marking the beginning of a new captivating chapter in her musical journey post her debut album, Water In The Desert, released in 2024. Featuring tracks like “Atlantic Times,” “All In Your Mind,” and “Sweet Things In Life,” the album delves into themes of loss, ambition, love, and self-value with unapologetic vulnerability, earning recognition from notable platforms including BET, Billboard, and Complex.
ZADA premiered “Leave The Show” live during her recent performances at Harmony Arts Festival and Phillips Backyard Music Festival, setting the stage for even more upcoming music. Fans can catch ZADA live at “Do It For The Culture” in Kelowna, BC on September 5, followed by “Soul Aboard” in support of The Ocean Legacy Foundation on September 7. Additionally, ZADA is set to dazzle audiences at Vancouver’s Fortune Sound Club on October 14 in support of Alex Porat.
