Birmingham arts scene awarded $3.7M in new grants
Alabama’s arts sector is set to receive a significant boost with the allocation of nearly $3.8 million in grants to 176 organizations by the Alabama State Council on the Arts. The funding aims to support various art forms such as local theater productions, public art installations, cultural festivals, and arts education initiatives across the state, including Birmingham.
The grants provided by the Alabama State Council on the Arts cover a range of activities, including general operating support for 29 arts organizations and additional funding for statewide partners and arts education programs.
