Meet the producer behind Bham Now and learn how you can get involved
Birmingham continues to experience significant growth, keeping the team at Bham Now busy and productive. A crucial component of our team’s success is our Senior Content Producer, Grace Howard. Grace initially joined the company as an intern for The Bama Buzz in 2022, later transitioning to a part-time role at Bham Now in January 2023 before becoming a full-time employee in the spring of 2024. From handling breaking news to collaborating with various clients, Grace consistently exhibits a strong work ethic and innovative thinking that enhance our team’s operations.
Under the mentorship of Cindy Hatcher, Grace has thrived in her role, impressing both colleagues and clients with her insightful storytelling and quick responses to evolving narratives. It is evident that Grace’s promotion to Senior Content Producer is well-deserved, and she remains a valuable asset to our team at Bham Now.
Originally from Birmingham, Grace holds a journalism major and Spanish minor from Auburn University. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking for friends, spending time with her cat, and indulging in reality TV shows like Real Housewives. Grace finds joy in her work by highlighting the vibrant essence of Birmingham through her writing and community involvement.
When reflecting on Birmingham, Grace likens the city to the iconic bar in the TV show Cheers, where everyone knows your name. She appreciates the welcoming atmosphere and friendly energy that permeate through the city. Birmingham’s burgeoning food scene and sense of community make it a vibrant place to live and work, offering numerous opportunities for involvement and engagement.
In addition to Grace’s promotion, Bham Now has recently welcomed Traci Owen as a new Account Executive. Traci brings a wealth of experience from Birmingham Home & Garden Magazine and has already forged strong relationships within the business community while working with Bham Now and The Bama Buzz team.
Meanwhile, over at Hville Blast, in Huntsville, Elizabeth Hobbs has been promoted to Senior Content Producer after starting as an intern and later transitioning to a full-time role in August 2024. Elizabeth’s infectious energy, strong work ethic, and creative vision have made her a valuable member of the team. Originally from Athens, Alabama, Elizabeth pursued a degree in Marketing and Technical & Professional Communication from Auburn University.
In her downtime, Elizabeth delves into ceramics, explores record stores, and frequents coffee shops in Huntsville. She treasures the opportunity to uplift voices in her community and collaborate with local partners. Elizabeth finds joy in observing the positive momentum and growth in Huntsville, as the city continues to evolve while staying true to its roots in community, art, and innovation.
The team at Bham Now, The Bama Buzz, and Hville Blast welcomes individuals who share their passion for storytelling, community engagement, and creative collaboration. Whether in Birmingham or Huntsville, our team is dedicated to showcasing the best of each city and contributing to their growth and vibrancy.
