The Alex Skolnick Trio (AST) from Brooklyn has recently dropped the lead single from their upcoming sixth album, Prove You’re Not a Robot. Slated for release on November 7, 2025, via Flatiron Recordings, the band is renowned for melding Jazz improvisation with Rock intensity and composition. Their new record features a mix of original tracks and reimagined classics.

The track shares themes with the album, focusing on “human connection in an age of technological dominance, the irreplaceability of spontaneous creation, and the absurd humor of everyday digital life.” Accompanying the song is a music video directed by Frankie Fulleda, which includes a cameo from D. Randall Blythe of Lamb of God.

Band leader Alex Skolnick expressed that Prove You’re Not a Robot showcases their strongest collective effort yet.
