Donna Kelce, the proud mother of Kansas City Chiefs football player Travis Kelce, is not shy about showing her support for her future daughter-in-law, Taylor Swift. Recently, Donna sported some Taylor Swift merchandise while out and about during a visit to Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights. The 73-year-old mom flaunted a pair of black The Life of a Showgirl shorts with a black jacket and zip-up hoodie on social media. She completed her look with a 1989 era-inspired baseball cap featuring art of the Grammy-winning singer.

This is not the first time Donna has been seen rocking this hat. She also paired it with her son’s Chiefs jersey, which displays Travis’ iconic number 87. Donna sported this look when the team took on the Jacksonville Jaguars on October 6. Additionally, she wore the cap the night before when she posed for photos with Travis after attending The Official Release Party of a Showgirl film experience in theaters with her brother Don and his wife Joan in Jacksonville before the big game.

On Travis’s 36th birthday, which was on October 5, Donna used one of Taylor’s new songs to celebrate the occasion. She posted a picture of baby Travis on her Instagram Story with the words “Happy Birthday Travis” at the bottom, adding Taylor’s new song “Opalite” as a background track. Both of Donna’s sons, Travis and Jason Kelce, have dubbed “Opalite” as one of their favorite songs from Taylor’s album The Life of a Showgirl.

Before the album was released, Travis expressed his adoration for the song “Opalite” on the New Heights podcast, calling it his favorite. After the album came out, Jason also shared his love for the song, revealing that it was one of his top picks as well. Apart from the brothers, Kylie Kelce, Jason’s wife, and mother to Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett, and Finnley, shared that she and her daughters have been enjoying the song “Opalite.” She stated that it has been a hit for them and that they have been jamming out to it on their way to school.

“The Fate of Ophelia,” a song from Taylor Swift’s album, The Life of a Showgirl, makes reference to the character Ophelia from William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, who faces a tragic fate. The song’s lyrics allude to a rescue from the depths of despair by a true love. These lyrics appear to be inspired by Travis Kelce calling out Taylor on his podcast for missing her concert, which ultimately led to the beginning of their romance. Taylor, fresh off a breakup from Matty Healy, found love with Travis after he attended her concert in Kansas City, sparking their relationship. Travis has even teased lyrics from “The Fate of Ophelia” on Instagram, furthering their love story.

In another song from the album titled “Elizabeth Taylor,” Taylor refers to the accomplished and legendary showgirl Elizabeth Taylor, mentioning her favorite spots, Paris’ Plaza Athénée and Los Angeles’ Musso & Frank’s. Drawing a parallel between her life and Elizabeth’s, Taylor reveals that being in the spotlight isn’t always glamorous. The song highlights the struggles of fame and the challenges of living in the public eye.
