Battle Beast releases their seventh album “Steelbound” with a new music video.
Finnish heavy metal powerhouse Battle Beast is back with their seventh studio album, Steelbound, a bold and energetic record that exudes theatrical flair and exhilarating headbanging moments. Launched as the band embarks on a European tour, this 38-minute album combines the robustness of power metal with catchy pop hooks and anthems that are perfect for a party, demonstrating a group that has turned their resilience into a defining characteristic.
Kicking off with the powerful momentum of Last Goodbye, the album immediately establishes its aggressive tone. Angel Of Midnight showcases the band’s ability to craft infectious melodies that stick with listeners. Here We Are shifts gears from epic sword-and-shield theatrics to unapologetic celebration, inviting fans to let loose and enjoy themselves. The title track, Steelbound, elevates the album into a rousing declaration of defiance and joy.
Accompanying the album is a visually striking new music video for Twilight Cabaret, a theatrical and slightly eerie piece that songwriter and album producer Janne Björkroth describes as an essential addition. Described by the band as the next installment in one of their most uproarious tales, Twilight Cabaret delves into a world where power distorts truth, justice is manipulated, and the media is controlled. With its layered lyrics, Latin influences, and intense metal arrangements, the song emerges as a dramatic anthem with a dark twist.
Battle Beast invites listeners to join them on a journey of catharsis and communal release, presenting Steelbound as a resounding monument to resistance and perseverance. Throughout the album’s duration, the band refuses to dwell on somber themes, instead radiating positivity and encouraging fans to sing along, bang their heads, and most importantly, have a great time.
With their origins deeply rooted in Helsinki’s closely-knit metal scene, Battle Beast was formed in 2008 by high school friends Anton Kabanen, Juuso Soinio, and Pyry Vikki. After triumphing in two major band competitions in 2010, the group secured a record deal, launching their ascent with the release of debut album Steel in 2011, which caught the attention of the renowned label Nuclear Blast.
Although the band has encountered lineup changes and internal challenges, most notably the departure of founding guitarist Anton Kabanen in 2015 and the addition of vocalist Noora Louhimo in 2012, Battle Beast has continued to evolve. With Louhimo at the helm and a reinvigorated lineup, the band has ascended to the top of the charts at home and gained prominence throughout Europe.
Steelbound, officially announced on June 5, 2025, and released on October 17, 2025, follows a string of successful albums that have solidified the band’s reputation for seamlessly blending potent metal instrumentation with irresistible hooks. The album’s first singles, Last Goodbye and Here We Are, offer a taste of its dynamic range, oscillating between ominous undertones and moments of pure joy.
To celebrate the album’s release, Battle Beast will kick off a European tour starting at the Inselpark Arena in Hamburg, Germany, on the release date, featuring Dominum and Majestica as supporting acts, promising fans an electrifying night of heavy music.
