In exciting news for Rush fans, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson have announced a significant expansion of their upcoming 2026 headline tour, aptly named Fifty Something. The tour is set to celebrate Rush’s music and legacy, paying homage to the late Neil Peart, the band’s drummer and lyricist. This marks the first time in eleven years that Lee and Lifeson will be touring together since the conclusion of Rush’s R40 Tour back in 2015.

After a decade-long hiatus from performing Rush’s iconic songs, Lee and Lifeson expressed their eagerness to hit the stage once again. Despite the irreplaceable absence of Peart, the duo felt compelled to honor the band’s rich musical history. With a renewed sense of purpose, Lee and Lifeson are gearing up for a memorable tribute to over 50 years of Rush music.

The announcement also introduced a new addition to the band, Anika Nilles, a talented drummer and musician who is set to join Lee and Lifeson on tour. The trio, along with longstanding crew members, have been diligently rehearsing to deliver a one-of-a-kind Rush experience for devoted fans.

Carrie Nuttall-Peart and Olivia Peart, Neil’s widow and daughter, expressed their support for the Fifty Something tour, highlighting Neil’s remarkable legacy as both a drummer and lyricist. Neil’s profound impact on the music industry and fans’ lives alike is a testament to his unparalleled artistry and creativity.

The upcoming tour promises to be a special experience for Rush aficionados, with the band set to perform unique “evening with” shows featuring two distinct sets each night. Drawing from a vast catalog of 35 songs, Rush will treat audiences to a mix of their greatest hits and fan favorites, ensuring an unforgettable live music experience.

Joining Lee and Lifeson on stage will be Anika Nilles, whose impressive resume includes performances with Jeff Beck and the release of four solo albums. Her addition to the lineup adds a fresh dynamic to the band’s sound, promising an exciting new chapter for Rush enthusiasts.

With pre-sale tickets set to go live soon, fans can look forward to witnessing the magic of Rush’s timeless music brought to life by the legendary duo of Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson. The tour is a celebration of a musical legacy that continues to inspire and resonate with audiences worldwide, ensuring that Rush’s iconic sound will live on for years to come.
