The Washington, DC music scene experienced an electrifying night on Wednesday, 17 September 2025, when the Danish-Brazilian garage rock duo, the Courettes, took the stage at Comet Ping Pong in front of a full house. Joining them were local band Jake Starr and the Czars, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening of rock and roll.

Made up of Brazilian guitarist and vocalist Flavia and Danish drummer and vocalist Martin Couri, the Courettes, a married couple, brought a unique blend of punk energy to the garage rock genre.
