Puscifer shares new single “Self Evident” from upcoming album ‘Normal Isn’t’
Puscifer has recently dropped their latest track, “Self Evident,” as a teaser for their upcoming album called Normal Isn’t, set for a February 26 release. The highly anticipated record aims to delve into the post-punk music vibes that heavily influenced the band members during their formative years, now infused with darker and more guitar-driven elements. Normal Isn’t will be available in various formats including standard black vinyl, limited edition black ice vinyl, limited edition golden swirl vinyl, CD, and cassette.
Lead vocalist Maynard James Keenan noted, “We’re definitely leaning into our early influences. It’s the place where goth meets punk. It’s where I came from.” This indicates a return to the band’s roots and a deliberate departure from their previous works.
To build up excitement for the album’s release, Puscifer will embark on a series of live shows starting on March 20, 2026, hitting major cities across the United States. Notably, comedian Dave Hill will join them as a very special guest for this tour. Tickets for the tour and VIP packages go on sale soon, providing fans with an opportunity to experience the band’s new music live on stage.
Earlier this year, Puscifer, alongside A Perfect Circle and Primus, launched the Sessanta E.P.P.P. on March 29 through Puscifer Entertainment. This EP featured one new song from each band which were co-written by Maynard James Keenan. Performances from the EP were incorporated into the second leg of the Sessanta Tour, made available in digital and vinyl formats with exclusive variants for fans to collect.
The Sessanta Tour was a landmark event where the three bands shared the stage together, each presenting their unique style and music. This tour marked the return of A Perfect Circle to live performances after a hiatus since 2018, receiving acclaim for seamlessly blending their acts into one captivating show.
In another exciting development, Puscifer released a special song titled “The Algorithm” in May 2024. This track was part of the soundtrack for the renowned comic book series, American Psycho, showcasing original illustrations crafted in collaboration with Piotr Kowalski and Brad Simpson. The animated video for “The Algorithm,” a joint venture between Puscifer and Sumerian Records, explored themes of dopamine addiction and habitual social media use through the characters Charlene Carruthers and Patrick Bateman, enhancing the overall storytelling experience.
Given their strong fan base and innovative musical style, Puscifer continues to push boundaries and explore new creative avenues, ensuring that each project keeps listeners engaged and eager for more. The band’s upcoming album, Normal Isn’t, promises to be a must-listen for fans old and new alike, offering a fresh perspective on their music while staying true to their original influences and artistic vision.
