Puscifer unveils music video for “Self Evident” and announces new album “Normal Isn’t” and spring tour dates
The alternative rock band Puscifer recently announced the much-anticipated release date of their upcoming album titled “Normal Isn’t.” The album, set to come out on February 6th, 2026, marks the band’s first release in five years. Puscifer’s fifth studio album features a plethora of well-known collaborators, including Tool’s Danny Carey on drums for the track “Seven One.”
Moreover, Greg Edwards from Failure, who has been serving as a touring bassist for Puscifer for several years, is also featured on the album. Additionally, the band’s drummer Gunnar Olsen and Sarah Jones, who previously worked with the group, make appearances on the record. Notable bassist Tony Levin, known for his work with King Crimson, joined in to contribute to various tracks on the album.
Speaking about the musical direction of “Normal Isn’t,” Maynard James Keenan, the band’s vocalist, expressed that the new record delves deeper into their post-punk influences. Keenan shared that for this album, he took a more hands-on approach to the songwriting process, presenting complete song ideas to the band members, thus changing the dynamics of the recording process.
Furthermore, co-vocalist Carina Round shared how Keenan’s direct approach to the album’s creation had a positive impact on the band’s collaborative process, stating that in Puscifer, ideas are constantly evolving without any attachment, creating a creative and open atmosphere among the band members. Guitarist and producer, Mat Mitchell, added that the goal for this record was to bring out a raw and edgier sound that only guitars could provide.

The tracklist for “Normal Isn’t” includes several captivating titles such as “Thrast,” “ImpetuoUs,” and “The Algorithm,” forming a cohesive yet diverse body of work.
Beyond the album release, Puscifer is gearing up for a spring 2026 tour across the United States, with comedian Dave Hill serving as the opening act. The tour will kick off in Las Vegas, NV, on March 20th, with stops in various cities like Atlanta, Boston, New York, and Denver.
