K-Pop Artists Stray Kids and SEVENTEEN Join BTS in Dominating Billboard’s World Albums Chart
The global phenomenon of K-pop continues to captivate audiences worldwide with its dynamic music, heartfelt lyrics, and captivating performances. Billboard’s World Albums chart for the week ending Saturday, October 25, once again showcases the genre’s immense popularity and impact on the music industry.
Leading the chart for the eighth consecutive week is Stray Kids with their latest album, Karma. The group’s fourth Korean-language album debuted on August 22 and has also made its way to No. 51 on the prestigious Billboard 200 chart. In addition to Karma, Stray Kids has multiple albums dominating the World Albums chart, including Hop at No. 8, ATE (EP) at No. 12, ROCK-STAR at No. 20, and 5-Star at No. 23.
Joining Stray Kids on the chart is SEVENTEEN’s new sub-unit CxM (S.Coups and Mingyu) with their debut mini-album HYPE VIBES, which entered the chart at No. 2. SEVENTEEN’s album HAPPY BURSTDAY also saw success, climbing to No. 16 in its 18th week on the chart. Meanwhile, the debut EP COLOUR OUTSIDE THE LINES by BigHit Music’s boy band CORTIS secured the third position on the chart.
TXT’s The Star Chapter: Together claimed the fourth spot in its 13th week on the chart, while ENHYPEN’s EP, DESIRE: UNLEASH, and their previous album, ROMANCE: UNTOLD, made impressive entries at No. 5 and No. 15, respectively. BTS maintained a strong presence on the chart with their anthology album Proof at No. 6, while Jimin’s solo album MUSE held the ninth spot. Jin’s second solo album, Echo, and BTS’ live album PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LIVE secured positions at No. 19 and No. 24, respectively.
Rising talents also made their mark on the global chart, with ZEROBASEONE’s NEVER SAY NEVER at No. 10, NewJeans’ Get Up at No. 14, and TWICE’s Chaeyoung’s solo debut album LIL FANTASY vol. 1 climbing to No. 17. ATEEZ’s GOLDEN HOUR: Part 3 claimed the No. 22 spot, while NMIXX’s Blue Valentine closed out the Top 25.
