Cybersecurity student making strides in field
Bendigo TAFE student Connor Cushen is making significant strides in his cybersecurity career by collaborating on an app that streamlines fraud response. This initiative, part of La Trobe University’s recent Appathon, involved working with three other regional students to develop the tool. Connor is currently engaged in the Certificate IV in Cybersecurity program at Bendigo campus, a course newly introduced in the local area. With 35 students enrolled, the launch of this program aims to equip students with the skills needed to excel in a field crucial to national and global security.

He mentioned how prior to discovering the free Certificate III in Information Technology course at TAFE last year, he was uncertain about his future.
