Beak & Skiff in CNY announces 2026 season’s first concert
As the autumn leaves begin to fall and winter approaches, Central New Yorkers are already looking forward to the summer concert season at Beak & Skiff Apple Orchards. The highly anticipated first artist announcement for the 2026 concert lineup is none other than the alternative rock band, Cake. Scheduled to take the stage at Beak & Skiff’s Apple Hill in LaFayette on Saturday, May 30th at 7 p.m., Cake is expected to deliver an unforgettable performance.
Tickets for the concert will be available for purchase starting Friday, Oct. 31, at 10 a.m. through tixr.com. For eager fans, there will be a presale opportunity on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 10 a.m. with a special code provided to those who have subscribed to Beak & Skiff’s newsletter. The ticket prices are yet to be announced, building up excitement among concert-goers.
Cake, a renowned rock band, is best known for their iconic hits from the ’90s and 2000s such as “The Distance,” “Short Skirt/Long Jacket,” “Never There,” “Love You Madly,” and their explicit rendition of Gloria Gaynor’s classic, “I Will Survive.” Lead singer John McCrea’s distinctive deadpan vocals and the band’s diverse musical influences ranging from alternative rock to funk, disco mariachi, country, folk, and hip-hop have solidified their place in the hearts of fans. Cake is known for covering songs from an array of artists including Barry White, Frank Sinatra, Black Sabbath, Willie Nelson, and even The Muppets.
Exciting news for Cake fans is the upcoming release of the band’s first album in almost 15 years, which is set to feature their latest single, “Billionaire in Space.” Beak & Skiff Apple Orchards, recognized as one of the top apple orchards in the country, is situated at 2708 Lords Hill Rd. (Rt. 80) in LaFayette, just a short drive south of Syracuse. Previous acts that have graced the stage at Beak & Skiff’s Summer Concert Series include Jason Isbell, The Avett Brothers, Bleachers, Noah Kahan, Bright Eyes, Death Cab for Cutie, X Ambassadors, Indigo Girls, Bruce Hornsby, Ani DiFranco, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats.
In addition to the show at Apple Hill, Cake enthusiasts can catch the band at other venues in Upstate New York, with a show scheduled for May 29th at the Buffalo Outer Harbor and another on June 1st at the Broadview Stage at SPAC (Saratoga Performing Arts Center).
