Finger Eleven to perform in two B.C. cities excluding Vancouver

Finger Eleven, a prominent Canadian band of the 2000s, is embarking on a tour and is scheduled to perform in two cities in British Columbia, excluding Vancouver. Their upcoming studio album, “Last Night on Earth,” set for release on November 7, will mark their first full-length album since 2015’s “Five Crooked Lines.”

The alternative post-grunge rock group, which originated in Ontario and was previously known as Rainbow Butt Monkeys during the years 1990 to 1997, is hitting the road to support their latest album release. The tour kicks off on November 25 at the South Okanagan Event Centre in Penticton, followed by a performance at the Abbotsford Arts Centre the next day.

Despite their previous release in 2023 being a compilation of their greatest hits, it featured two new tracks, including a cover of Pink Floyd’s “Welcome to the Machine.” Additionally, their original song “Together Right” made it to the top 40 on Billboard’s Canada Rock chart.

For many rock enthusiasts, the band’s standout track remains the 2007 hit “Paralyzer” from the album “Them vs. You vs. Me,” which secured the title of Best Rock Album at the 2008 Juno Awards. Vocalist Scott Anderson shared some insights on the new album, describing “Last Night on Earth” as an exploration of the ups and downs of relationships, touching upon unresolved conflicts and uncertainties about the future.

Before their tour across Canada, Finger Eleven will be touring the United States with Alien Ant Farm and Brkn Love. Upon returning to Canada, they will be joined by Headstones and The Tea Party for the remainder of their Canadian tour, ending in Halifax, Nova Scotia on December 13.
