For the past ten years, Meghan Patrick, the singer and songwriter, has gained popularity in her home country of Canada. She has achieved multiple Top 10 country hits there and has put out four albums. In addition to her numerous hits, she has also claimed the top spot twice at the CCMA (Canadian Country Music Awards), being named Female Artist of the Year. Despite her enduring success in Canada, Patrick’s career has soared to new heights in the last year as she has finally made a breakthrough in the United States with her hit song “Golden Child.” This track has become one of the lengthiest charting singles of the year after first appearing on the Billboard Country Airplay chart in December 2024. Impressively, it is still on the charts as of October 2025 and has recently reached its peak at #26.

Included in Patrick’s latest album, also titled “Golden Child,” released in October 2024, are 18 songs, with 17 songs penned by Patrick herself. She considers this album her most intimate work yet, delving deep into her personal journey, revealing her inner reflections and a newfound sense of authenticity. Patrick shared, “I made this record exactly as I envisioned, portraying the story I wanted to tell with honesty.”

Born and raised in Bowmanville, Ontario, located near Toronto, Patrick holds citizenship in both Canada and the United States. She has studied jazz and opera, and even had the opportunity to front a funk band that had the honor of opening for Aretha Franklin. Her solo career began in 2016 when she signed with Warner Music Canada and released her debut album, “Grace & Grit.” She later followed up with “Country Made Me Do It” in 2018, “Heart on My Glass” in 2021, and finally “Golden Child” in 2024.

It was after relocating to Nashville around 2019 that Patrick made her debut on the U.S. music scene. She later signed with Riser House Entertainment, a Nashville-based label representing notable artists such as Mitchell Tenpenny and LANCO. In addition to promoting her chart-topping single, Patrick recently released a high-energy track titled “Jessica, Jezebel” and is scheduled to perform at numerous shows throughout the year, including various festival appearances. Moreover, she is set to embark on a Canadian tour in the upcoming months, opening for acclaimed country artist Brad Paisley.
