A Dallas, Texas native, Walter’s musical journey began with a love for hockey, which he pursued for 20 years before retiring from the sport two years ago. It was in fifth grade when he picked up the guitar, inspired by Mumford & Sons, that his passion for music took root. While in Austin, Walter honed his craft by performing on the streets and at open mic nights. A pivotal moment came when he decided to forgo a summer internship in favor of focusing on his music. Doors continued to open for Walter, leading to unexpected opportunities like an audition for American Idol and introductions to influential figures in the music industry. This journey ultimately brought him to Nashville, where he solidified his identity as an artist.
