A Dallas, Texas native, Walter’s musical journey began with a love for hockey, which he pursued for 20 years before retiring from the sport two years ago. It was in fifth grade when he picked up the guitar, inspired by Mumford & Sons, that his passion for music took root. Growing up on classic rock, the influence of bands like Van Halen shaped his early musical tastes.

As Walter delved deeper into music, he found himself drawn to country through artists like Tyler Childers. Combining elements of folk, country storytelling, and rock, he developed a distinctive sound that blends his diverse musical influences. Graduating high school, Walter initially pursued finance and college hockey at Lake Forest College. However, the emergence of COVID-19 during his freshman year prompted a shift in his path. He began dedicating more time to music, posting videos online and eventually making the decision to drop his majors and move to Austin, Texas to pursue a career in music.

While in Austin, Walter honed his craft by performing on the streets and at open mic nights. A pivotal moment came when he decided to forgo a summer internship in favor of focusing on his music. Doors continued to open for Walter, leading to unexpected opportunities like an audition for American Idol and introductions to influential figures in the music industry. This journey ultimately brought him to Nashville, where he solidified his identity as an artist.

Walter’s debut album, “Disappearing Days,” reflects his personal growth and experiences. The album, which helped secure his record deal, features eleven tracks that delve into the ups and downs of adulthood. From falling in love to navigating family issues, each song offers a glimpse into Walter’s introspective storytelling. One standout track, “Pipe Dream,” encapsulates his journey and determination to carve out a place in the music industry. Through hard work and unwavering dedication, Walter has embraced the challenges and triumphs of pursuing his musical passion.
