Kings Of Leon have made a significant move in their long-standing career by releasing EP #2. This EP marks their first extended-play record in over twenty years and their inaugural one as an independent band. It has been launched through their own label, Love Tap Records, in conjunction with distribution from Virgin Music. This release symbolizes a pivotal moment for the Followill family as they explore full creative independence and self-production for the first time since their inception in Nashville in 1999.

For a band whose journey from humble beginnings in Pentecostal church caravans throughout the American South to headlining major rock festivals worldwide has become legendary, EP #2 represents a return to their roots and the dawn of a new era of artistic freedom. It stands as the first musical offering from the Grammy-winning group since their 2024 album “Can We Please Have Fun.” Notably, this also marks a rare venture into the EP format for Kings Of Leon, with their last EP being “Holy Roller Novocaine” released in 2003 before their debut album, “Youth & Young Manhood.”

The tracklist for EP #2 includes “All The Little Sheep,” “To Space,” “Pit To The Rind,” and “The Wolf.” Following the EP, Kings Of Leon embarked on a series of notable collaborations with American artist Zach Bryan, resulting in tracks like “We’re Onto Something” and “Bowery.” The latter debuted at the top spot on Spotify in the United States, underscoring the band’s enduring relevance in the modern rock scene over two decades after their initial breakthrough in the UK. Kings Of Leon and Bryan even joined forces on stage during sold-out stadium performances earlier this year, premiering their collaborative tracks before massive audiences across North America.

Accompanying the EP release, Kings Of Leon are set to make a triumphant return to the stage to close out 2025 with two special New Year’s Eve shows in Las Vegas at The Venetian Theatre. These highly anticipated concerts will feature the Followill brothers, Caleb, Nathan, and Jared, along with cousin Matthew, as they ring in the new year with their fans. This live event adds to the band’s illustrious touring history, which includes headlining prestigious festivals like Glastonbury, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and Austin City Limits, as well as notable moments in Australia, such as reaching the top of the ARIA album charts and contributing to the Sound Relief bushfire benefit in 2009. Kings Of Leon have fostered a special connection with Australian audiences, particularly after their album “Only By The Night” became the highest-selling album in the country in 2008, propelled by hit singles like “Sex On Fire,” “Use Somebody,” and “Notion.”

Since making their debut with a raw Southern-rock sound on “Youth & Young Manhood” in 2003, Kings Of Leon have evolved across nine studio albums, including works like “Aha Shake Heartbreak” (2004), “Because Of The Times” (2007), “Mechanical Bull” (2013), “WALLS” (2016), and “When You See Yourself” (2021), leading up to their acclaimed release “Can We Please Have Fun” in 2024. This latest EP signifies a return to their foundational values and a declaration of newfound freedom. Throughout their career, they have sold over 20 million albums and nearly 40 million singles globally, with multiple Grammy Awards, BRIT Awards, and chart-topping hits in various countries. Their journey embodies an authentic American narrative, transitioning from humble beginnings to conquering stages around the world, all while staying true to their family ties and musical authenticity.

As they enter what could be their most creatively unrestrained phase, EP #2 by Kings Of Leon pays homage to their origins while signaling a bold artistic direction. Their embrace of independence, self-production, and a concentrated burst of four energizing tracks place them firmly in familiar territory, echoing the passion that initially propelled them to international fame. Kings Of Leon’s EP #2 is now available on all platforms.
