Teen Jesus and The Jean Teasers seize their moment with second album, “Glory”
Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers have entered a new era with the release of their second album, Glory. The punk-indie quartet, originally from Canberra and now based in both Canberra and Melbourne, has made a significant mark on the Australian music scene in recent years. Glory represents their most confident, emotionally rich, and musically daring work to date.
The album coincides with a series of events to celebrate its release, including an in-store performance and signing in Melbourne, a thrift-pop-up show in Sydney supporting Vinnies, and a hometown celebration in Canberra featuring a listening party and a headline performance by the band. Additionally, the album paves the way for an extensive live schedule in 2026, which includes appearances at the Laneway Festival and their largest national headline tour scheduled for May.
Since gaining national attention with their 2022 EP Pretty Good For A Girl Band, Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers have quickly risen to prominence. Their debut album I Love You, released in 2023, debuted at #6 on the ARIA Albums Chart. This success was followed by the deluxe version I Love You Too in 2024, featuring collaborations with Softcult and The Linda Lindas. Their energetic performances and authentic music have earned them recognition at the ARIA, AIR, and APRA awards, as well as coveted opening slots for renowned acts like Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam.
